Recchiutti Chocolates of San Francisco offer these thin but delicous paper thin unripe pear slices, that have been marinated in key lime syrup for a few days, then carefully laid out on trays and placed in a low temperature oven for about an hour to dry. After all of that fussing, there is a final step, which is to dip the lime infused crispy pear into a bitter sweet chocolate. The pears ended up becoming a favorite at Recchiutti's. Since then they have introduced an apple version as well. But we think the pears would be perfect for anyone with a "Perfect Pair/Pear" theme for their wedding. To order go to: http://www.recchiuti.com/. For apples fans, I've provided a photo of those as well. Order online for out of town brides.
